We began with Maine Coons in 1994 after adopting our first female.  Although we had no intention of breeding in the beginning, we gave it a second look after obtaining our second female.  We were hooked.  That's how our cattery, Coonceit, originated.  We have been established since 1995 and enjoy raising kittens (one or two litters at a time).  Maine Coons are wonderful companions.  Our kittens are raised underfoot in a healthy and safe environment.  We have a health guarantee (see sample kitten contract) and our cattery is ringworm free, FeLv, FIP, and FIV negative. 

Although many of our kittens are show quality, we sell them as pets or as show alters.  Our adult male Maine Coons are on the average weight of 17 - 24 lbs.  Females are on the smaller side, averaging in weight from 12 - 16 lbs.  Our cattery mostly produces browns, bi-colors, reds and silvers, with browns being the most popular color. 

Coonceit Cattery is registered in the following associations: CFA - The Cat Fancier’s Association, ACFA - The American Cat Fancier’s Association and TICA - The International Cat Association.  Our goal is to produce healthy, wonderful tempered   Maine Coons that also fit the Maine Coon standard. Our kittens remain with us and their mothers until 12 weeks of age. This allows them to develop the best possible socialization skills, and it allows us to monitor their health and progress. When inquiring about purchasing a kitten from us,  you will be asked certain questions so that we can get to know you better.  We welcome you to come visit our cattery.
